This fall Free Brands is hosting two fundraiser events, a virtual mat Pilates class and an in-person Pilates and sound bath class, each led by an instructor donating their time. We are a survivor-led nonprofit working to build lasting economic freedom for survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence, and these are our first events of this kind. We would love guidance on how to make them raise as much as they can: how to structure the ask, whether to use ticketing or suggested donations, how to promote them and reach beyond our current audience, and how to turn attendees into ongoing supporters. Donations will run through our existing online giving.

Beyond the funds they raise, events like these grow our community and bring new people into our work. For a founder running them for the first time, a professional who can help us do them well makes a real difference, because what we learn here shapes every event we host from here on.

As the founder, I will be your single point of contact and will share our event dates, our partners, our current donation setup, and what we have planned so far. We are looking for someone who has run fundraiser events before and can give us an honest, practical roadmap.

Free Brands is a grassroots survivor-led nonprofit on a mission to create accessible pathways for survivors of trafficking and gender based violence to build wealth and freedom through entrepreneurship
