About the Opportunity

The Social Work Ladies Collective is seeking a skilled video production/multimedia volunteer to help us create a polished, emotionally engaging 60–90 second brand and impact video that introduces SWLC, communicates our mission and impact, and highlights the importance of supporting social workers through our programs and Empowerment Fund.

The video will serve as a visual introduction to SWLC for community members, social workers, potential participants, donors, sponsors, funders, partners, and volunteers discovering our organization for the first time.

The volunteer would help SWLC:

Develop the video's overall concept, story, and visual direction.
Create a script/storyboard and determine the most effective way to communicate SWLC's mission and story.
Film/interview the Founder & Executive Director and/or other SWLC representatives as appropriate.
Incorporate existing SWLC photos, event materials, graphics, website content, and available video footage.
Highlight SWLC's core areas of work, including wellness, professional development, community connection, collective care, and the Empowerment Fund.
Communicate SWLC's community impact through visuals, storytelling, and key organizational metrics.
Introduce the Empowerment Fund and explain how it provides direct financial support to social workers.
Create a polished, modern, warm, and community-centered visual style that aligns with SWLC's brand.
Incorporate music, graphics, captions, transitions, and other production elements as appropriate.
Produce a final 60–90 second primary video and, if feasible, a shorter 15–30 second version for social media.

SWLC does not currently have a large library of professional video footage, so we are particularly interested in a volunteer who can help us determine the best storytelling approach using a combination of newly captured footage, interviews, existing photos/visuals, graphics, and motion design.

The goal is to create an evergreen video that SWLC can use across our website, social media, fundraising campaigns, sponsor outreach, grant materials, presentations, events, and community outreach.

The Social Work Ladies Collective exists to help social workers and mental health professionals connect and thrive through wellness, professional development, community connection, and collective care.

As a growing nonprofit, we need to communicate our mission and impact in ways that are accessible, engaging, and compelling to the people we serve and the people who can help us grow.

A strong brand and impact video will help SWLC tell our story beyond written materials and allow potential participants, donors, sponsors, funders, partners, and volunteers to quickly understand who we are, what we do, and why our work matters.

The video will also help us build awareness of the SWLC Empowerment Fund, which provides financial support to social workers, and support our efforts to grow the Fund and expand the resources available to our community.

The finished video will become a reusable organizational asset that helps SWLC strengthen community engagement, fundraising, partnerships, and visibility while ultimately allowing us to reach and support more social workers.

SWLC has already established its core mission, visual identity, program areas, and organizational messaging. We can provide the volunteer with our existing branding, website, program descriptions, event photos, graphics, impact metrics, Empowerment Fund information, and other organizational materials.

We will also provide access to available photos and video footage from previous SWLC programs and events. While our existing video library is limited, we are open to capturing new footage and participating in interviews or a simple filming session as needed.

I will serve as the primary project lead and will work directly with the volunteer throughout the project. I will be available to provide organizational context, review creative concepts and drafts, coordinate any filming needs, and provide timely feedback.

The completed video will be actively implemented across SWLC's website, social media, fundraising efforts, sponsor outreach, presentations, and community engagement efforts.

Preferred experience: nonprofit storytelling, documentary/brand video, social impact communications, video editing, interviewing, motion graphics, or social media video production. Experience working with limited existing footage and creating compelling stories from photos, interviews, and graphics is a plus.
