About the Opportunity

Our social media currently looks like a bulletin board of flyers. We work with participants online and cannot share their faces for privacy reasons, and our team’s photos from public outreach events are not at a professional level, so we can’t visually show much of our work and what we can show doesn’t look polished. We want our feed to feel more polished and personable—mixing photos, graphics, and impact stories similar in tone to @charitywater and @homeboyindustries—and to include more regular asks for support and donations. We haven't had the time to sit down to think about how to execute this well repeatably. To prepare for the project, we will provide you with our Instagram feed and overview of our programs. You'll also have access to a files of logos and brand marks.

We are looking for a volunteer with Social Media Marketing and Brand Strategy expertise to help us create a cohesive, privacy-safe feed and reusable assets. The volunteer will:
- Create a visual IG feed mockup (sample sequence of posts) that demonstrates a polished mix of photos, graphics, and short impact captions while respecting participant privacy and the personable tone we referenced.
- Produce 10–15 editable Canva asset templates we can repurpose, including graphic layouts for impact stories, photo treatments that avoid identifying participants, and donation call-to-action templates.
- Provide a short recommendations document with guidance on stock photo use, using the templates, simple tips our team can apply to improve event photos, and suggested cadence and phrasing to ask for support/donations more often.

This project will help visually match what we do with the way we show up online. My hope is that our feed will bring some added legitimacy (look less mom-and-pop/ more professional) to potential future donors who aren't familiar with us yet. And those unrestricted dollars go a long way for nonprofits.
