Advice on Navigating WordPress Site Updates

We are currently in the process of rebranding our organization, and along with that, we would like to update our website (e.g, change and add content, redesign, restructure, etc). Our website (www.focusedconservation.org) is currently set up through WordPress. We are already using the WP Staging Feature to test for glitches in the system. We're unsure of the best approach to update the website. Is it better to create a whole new website? Is there ways to copy information over? Are we better off using a different provider? We've explored Wix that may be more modern and dynamic from a UX standpoint. Our team is not comfortable with the back-end technical components of website creation design (e.g., avoiding bugs, firewalls, accessibility issues, SEO, etc.).
