Update a Nonprofit's Web Design
We need to redesign our website. We would like keep the existing content, but give it a fresh, more user-friendly look. The outcome of this pro bono project will be high-fidelity design files that are able to be implemented by a web developer.
Our primary goal is to make the website more visually appealing, professional, and user-friendly, aligning with our organization’s identity and mission. As the Managing Director, I’ve been the sole designer and creator of our current WordPress site. While this has served us well so far, we recognize the value of bringing in a professional to elevate the site to better represent the impactful work we do. We’ve conducted an initial review of our current website and identified key areas that need improvement, including user navigation, storytelling, and mobile optimization. We’ve also gathered relevant materials, such as photos, videos, and impact statistics, which will be integrated into the redesign to make the site visually engaging and informative.
This project will NOT include the following:
-Drafting messaging
-Stakeholder research
-Web development
Our mission is to drive marine conservation through community-led initiatives, research, and education. Our website is a critical tool for engaging supporters, volunteers, and donors, as well as educating the wider public about our work. An updated, professionally designed website will allow us to better communicate the impact of our initiatives, inspire action, and grow our community of supporters.
Once the project is complete, our team is ready to implement and maintain the updated website. I (Francesca) will be responsible for content updates. This project will directly support our ability to attract new donors, volunteers, and advocates, helping us further our mission to protect marine ecosystems and empower local communities.
By collaborating on this project, we’ll ensure the outcomes not only meet but exceed expectations, creating a website that is both impactful and sustainable. We are committed to being a proactive and collaborative partner throughout this process.
We already have all the content needed for the website, including comprehensive text, stunning photos, and engaging videos, ready to be integrated into the design. This ensures that the focus can remain on upgrading the look and feel of the site and improving its user experience, rather than having to create content from scratch.
Additionally, we have a clear plan for what happens next: after completing the redesign, we’ll focus on improving SEO in a separate project to maximize the website’s reach and impact. We’re committed to being active and responsive collaborators during the redesign process, providing prompt feedback and ensuring the final product meets our needs.
We’re confident this project is set up for success and will be a rewarding partnership for both parties.
