We are hiring for three new roles and aim to reach a wider candidate pool than in previous rounds. As such, research is needed to answer the question of where we can advertise that will reach new candidates that are well-suited for the roles. There are various different approaches to this including direct outreach, existing hiring platforms, or working through connections. Myself and two others have already come up with our ideas of how to expand our reach but the perspective of a volunteer would be of great value.

There would be two components to this work:
1. development of the advertising strategy
2. implementation of this strategy.

The roles being advertised will help enable our model's successful scaling which can improve thousands of lives. Our intervention was chosen for its high cost-effectiveness and strong evidence base from 188 ideas evaluated by Charity Entrepreneurship and its cost-effectiveness has been estimated at 22x and 60x unconditional cash transfer by Founders Pledge and Rethink Priorities respectively. As such, contributing to the scaling of FEM's projects is a way to have a significant impact.

Three members of staff at FEM have done preliminary research for this advertising strategy and, more importantly, have finalized the job descriptions which are to be advertised. All is set for the advertising to begin. Once the advertising strategy has been executed, the FEM team will be ready to evaluate the different candidates and make hires.

Family Empowerment Media (FEM) aims to improve women and children’s health by reducing unintended pregnancies and expanding interpregnancy intervals. We increase information accessibility and reduce stigma around effective contraception. Every year, 111 million unintended pregnancies result in 90k maternal deaths. Misconceptions and lack of awareness are key barriers to contraceptive usage in numerous regions. FEM implements radio-based social and behavior change family planning campaigns, an evidence-based and impactful intervention to address this global challenge; our campaigns empower couples with education on effective contraception such that they can make informed decisions about when or even whether they want to have children.
