Seeking a skilled volunteer designer to help communicate our innovative approach to preventing child hunger!

We need a designer to help us finalize a publishable guidance document to share with donors, beneficiaries and other NGO's. We have the content, we just need someone who can help us create a few images to better tell our stories, and then a designer who can turn the text of our document into a gorgeous how-to-guide that is visually appealing and worth sharing widely to publicize our process and work.

Your work will aid in storytelling, method sharing, and funding, supporting women farmers and saving children's lives worldwide. Join us in making a global impact!

Since the pandemic, hunger and malnutrition have surged worldwide, creating an unprecedented global food emergency according to the UN World Food Program. Frequent weather disasters threaten food security everywhere. In many parts of the world, up to 80% of a child’s food is grown by their mother. Gender oppression and violence also rose steeply during the pandemic and continue to be the accepted norm in too many places. Because of this, women lack access to many of the resources they need to grow enough food. As a result, today 1 in 3 children where we work are malnourished, facing a lifetime of physical and mental deficits that could easily have been prevented.

We need skilled and passionate volunteers to implement our design project for a how-to manual with case studies. Your communication skills will help us tell our important story, share our methods, and enable others to address this problem. Your help will also help us attract the funding needed to reach more hungry children.

The gift of your expertise helps us keep our overhead low (we only have one part-time US staff member) so we can allocate more funding towards cultivating hope, nourishing futures, and saving children's lives worldwide. Join us in making a global impact and empowering women farmers to create lasting change.

We have been working on this guide for a couple of years, conducting interviews, synthesizing resources, drafting the document. All that is left is to help take our ideas for visuals and turn them into useful visual depictions of some key process flows. Then helping us convert the word document into a polished and beautiful publication full of beautiful photos of our work that inspires donors and others to help us accelerate the fundraising needed for scaling the implementation of our programs.

Since the pandemic, hunger and malnutrition have surged, creating an unprecedented global food emergency according to the UN World Food Program. In today's world there are more frequent weather disasters that are threatening food security everywhere. In many parts of the world, up to 80% of a child’s food is grown by their mother. Gender oppression and violence also rose steeply during the pandemic, and continue to be the accepted norm in too many places. Because of this, women lack access to many of the resources they need to grow enough food. During the pandemic those resources became even more scarce and moms bore the brunt of added hours of work each day that had to be spent caring for sick, elderly and children as the world shut down leaving less time for growing food. As a result, today 1 in 3 children where we work are malnourished, facing a lifetime of physical and mental deficits that could easily have been prevented. That's why our solution to child hunger is very different than most. We work at the source of the problem providing a simple solution that builds women farmers' weather resilience to prevent children from ever facing hunger. We provide women with what is needed to grow their food security and resilience long before disaster strikes. The generous donation of your expertise helps us keep our overhead low (we only have one part-time US staff member) so we can put more of our funding toward cultivating hope, nourishing futures, and saving children's lives all around the world."
