Graphic Design: Email Newsletter Template
Project
Remote
Operation Dignity Inc.
We’re seeking a volunteer to create an eye-catching email newsletter template that will capture a reader’s attention and get them to click on various topics. Our organization currently uses MailChimp, but we are planning to switch to Constant Contact. So, we would need help migrating our subscriber list over to the new platform as well. This template design may include the following:
-Header image
-Definition of standard font type, size, and color
-Call to action button design
-Footer design, complete with links to our social media channels, unsubscribe method, address, etc.
-Instructions on how to use the template effectively to produce a monthly newsletter
An updated newsletter template will strengthen our outreach efforts and increase awareness of our work.

Since 1993, Operation Dignity has worked to house and serve the most vulnerable people experiencing homelessness in Alameda County, including veterans and people living in encampments.
We were founded by Alex McElree, a Vietnam War veteran who had struggled with addiction and homelessness. When Alex finally got back on his feet, he collected a few beds and started a shelter in a small Oakland house. He often said, "A soldier does not leave their wounded on the battlefield. We consider the streets to be our battlefield, and Operation Dignity’s core mission is to leave no veteran behind.”
Today, Operation Dignity provides shelter, housing, street outreach, and supportive services to people experiencing homelessness, with a continuing focus on veterans in partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Each year, we serve more than 1,000 people, including almost 200 formerly homeless veterans.
