About the Opportunity

We need a volunteer to design a 60-minute onboarding session structure for new board members that strengthens our board communication and working style. Specifically, we want advice on (1) a timed agenda with activities and talking points to build shared norms and introduce changing priorities, and (2) facilitation and brief mediation techniques to reduce tension and align expectations among incoming and existing members. Context: new members are joining a stressed existing board while we are changing board priorities. We want to walk away from the call with tips to produce a practical, timed agenda we can use, facilitator prompts and ground rules, and 1–2 recommended immediate next steps for follow-up.

Organization Mission

The mission of Rancho Compasión is to provide a loving, lifelong home for rescued farmed animals, and to change public perception about animals typically viewed as “food”. Our Sanctuary promotes a compassionate and sustainable lifestyle for the sake of non-human animals, our planet, social justice, and our wellbeing.
