Developing a Sustainable Volunteer Program and Ramadan Volunteer Pipeline

Ta’leef Collective is a community-based nonprofit with a growing volunteer base and increasing event programming. Volunteer coordination is currently largely informal, and our small team has limited capacity to build and manage a more structured volunteer program. This challenge becomes particularly urgent during Ramadan, when our programming and volunteer needs increase significantly.

We are seeking guidance on developing a practical roadmap for building a sustainable year-round volunteer program. Rather than designing each component of the program during this session, we would like help identifying what infrastructure should be developed first, what can realistically be managed by our current team, and what should be prioritized over the next several months.

Our goal is to leave the session with a phased roadmap for moving from our current informal volunteer model toward a structured program, including recommended priorities, realistic next steps, and guidance on whether additional staff or volunteer leadership capacity is needed. We would also like the roadmap to consider our upcoming Ramadan programming so we can begin building a more reliable volunteer pipeline before this high-demand period.
