HR Question - Executive Team Leadership & Dynamics

We are a small nonprofit social enterprise in California that employs people with disabilities to make and sell baked goods at a farmers market stand and a medical center café. Since launching in 2018, we’ve operated on very tight margins and cannot afford an HR department. I am the founder and now serve as Board Chair after relocating to Maryland in 2024. Recently, significant distrust and poor communication have developed among our Executive Team, and despite my training as a mediator, I’ve struggled to resolve these issues remotely. Ahead of our board retreat on January 24, I’d like a one-hour consultation with an HR professional to brainstorm practical strategies for improving team dynamics and conflict resolution.
