Live Website Feedback and Advice for Upcoming Redesign

Our goal is to get expert advice and practical direction on redesigning Perry Street Preparatory Charter School’s website and refining our branding to better reflect who we are as a school community. We want to create a user-friendly, visually engaging website that communicates our mission, values, and offerings clearly to families, students, and community partners. Right now, our site feels outdated and “janky,” and we need guidance on how to structure it in a way that is both professional and accessible.

During the session, we’d like to discuss:

Website Redesign Strategy: Best practices for layout, navigation, and user experience for a PreK–8 school audience.

Branding Alignment: How to ensure consistent use of our school’s logo, fonts, and colors across the website and other materials.

Content Planning: What types of information (enrollment, family resources, PTO updates, OST programs, governance, etc.) should be front and center, and how to present it clearly.

Low-Cost/DIY Options: Recommendations for affordable website platforms or templates that fit a charter school’s budget and can be updated easily by school staff.

By the end of the call, we hope to walk away with a clearer vision and concrete next steps for refreshing our website and branding so it better serves our families, students, and staff.
