A visually polished, reusable email template for donor communications delivered as a visual mockup and an editable file or export for our email platform. The volunteer will help refine layout, hierarchy, and basic responsiveness.
This template will help Orphan Shade communicate more clearly and consistently with donors, strengthening relationships and fundraising for orphan girls in rural Malawi. Better donor communications will support care, schooling, and scaling our family-based model across villages.
We will provide the brand style guide before kickoff so the volunteer can iterate quickly. A single staff point of contact will give timely feedback and coordinate implementing the final template in our email system.

Organization Mission

Whom We Serve: Orphan girls in rural Malawi that have lost both of their parents to HIV. These vulnerable children have faced extensive trauma from the loss of their parents, food insecurity, neglect, and abuse. They exhibit behaviors such as anger, aggression, depression, lack of focus, withdrawal, and nightmares. The child’s guardian is very poor and cannot feed, clothe or send the child to school. The child’s prospects include marriage at 12 years old and many children. The cycle of poverty continues. Vision: Raise a generation of orphan girls to become educated Christian women to be professionals, pastors, evangelists, politicians, entrepreneurs, and educators that influence substantive positive change in their own country. Mission: Orphan Shade is NOT an institutional orphanage. It is a family. The children grow up in their own village, are near their extended family, attend the local school, participate in the local church, and experience the love and care of committed parents. The focus is to prepare the child’s body, mind, and spirit for the future. We plan to scale this model to create many new families in rural villages across the southern region of Malawi. Partner: We work in partnership with a network of rural village churches in southern Malawi. Our co-founder, Pastor Prince Kampomo, and his team provide oversight, leads establishment of new families, and provide ongoing support for existing families. Impact: Three active foster families of two adults and eight children live and thrive as a ministry of the local church in 3 different rural villages. Additionally, we have seen significant progress: 1. Positive mental health indicators and behavior improvement reflect significant improvement 2. 8 of 23 girls are ranked #1 in their respective schools and classes 3. First child will take the national exam to determine eligibility for secondary school (High School)
