Accounting Systems Set Up: Xero

We're looking for a volunteer with experience setting up Xero (bookkeeping system) as well as experience designing and implementing best practices and workflows. You'll help us set up regular recording, reconciliation, and reporting practices by spending 35-40 hours with us over 6-9 weeks. You will also help us think through how to use Xero and our CRM (Pipedrive) for invoicing, budgeting, and contractor management.

In our first meeting, we'll share a detailed description of our existing financial record-keeping and reporting systems. In phase one of the project, you'll audit our current setup and help us set up and rebuild our budget and chart of accounts in a way that is best suited for our business. In the second phase of our project, you'll help us explore our other tools, such as Monday.com and Pipedrive, to help us design our workflows and reduce redundancies. In the third phase of our project, you will provide one or two of our team members with basic training. We ask that you make yourself available for up to two weeks to address our questions as we adjust to the new software and systems.

Circles International is growing and is looking to improve our financial visibility and procedures as we move into the next phase of our organization. Our next strategic goal is to attract a business partner, and having clear financial visibility is crucial. While we implemented Xero last year, we are still lacking the visibility that we need and need help to bring the project over the finish line. By supporting this project, you will enable us to reach our next stage of growth by empowering our team with the tools, training, and best practices to achieve financial visibility.

We've acquired Xero and have been using it for invoicing and bookkeeping for about one year. We have basic training in the system and have created an impact filter defining the scope of the project. We will designate a member of our team who will manage the volunteer and the project.
