About the Opportunity

We need a volunteer to help us design a fair, administrable mileage reimbursement approach for employees who travel from their home to multiple job sites at varying distances. Some employees also travel to HQ, then to the job site.
The volunteer should advise on calculation options (per-mile rate vs. stipend), documentation and tracking best practices, and considerations for accounting and tax compliance.

Organization Mission

Things That Creep (TTC) brings hands-on science programs to classrooms and outdoor spaces throughout the Bay Area. By introducing students to live “animal ambassadors,” including lizards, snakes, and frogs, TTC provides students with a memorable introduction to the biological sciences, sparks curiosity about STEM fields and encourages compassionate respect for animals that are often ignored or feared, but are vital to balanced, healthy ecosystems.
