Luangisa African Collection is the museum store of Luangisa African Museum and Cultural Arts Center. The museum currently operates without outside funding, so increasing earned revenue through the Luangisa African Collection is an important part of our strategy for helping sustain the museum and its cultural and educational mission.
We are seeking guidance from a social media and digital marketing professional on how to use social media more effectively to increase visibility, attract potential customers, and ultimately generate more sales for the museum store.
During this 60-minute consultation, we would like to discuss how to identify and reach our target customers, what types of content are most likely to generate interest and purchases, how often and where we should post, and how to create stronger calls to action that move followers from viewing and engaging with our content to purchasing from the collection.
We would also like advice on how to balance product-focused content with storytelling about African art, culture, craftsmanship, and the meaning and history behind items in the collection. In addition, we would like to explore how email marketing can work alongside social media to promote products, new merchandise, special collections, and museum activities while building relationships with customers and encouraging repeat purchases.
Because we have limited staff and financial resources, we are especially interested in practical, low-cost strategies that we can realistically maintain. Our goal is to leave the session with clear priorities and actionable next steps for using social media and email marketing to increase sales and generate sustainable earned revenue that supports the museum.
