I am the ED of a small nonprofit in Oregon and lead three team members, two full-time and one part-time. We have no HR department, and no one on my board has HR skills. I am hoping to speak with someone who knows HR and employment law in Oregon and can help me through a sensitive situation. I have specific questions about how to move forward with a termination. I have followed the organization's SOPs for verbal and written warnings, and have kept a chronology of interactions. I am now needing professional assistance with next steps.
