We are transitioning from a fiscal sponsor to an independent 501c3. We just submitted the Form 1023 (our application to become an independent 501c3) to the IRS. I would like to understand the next steps -- accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, etc. -- that are necessary to transition us into an independent non-profit.

Community Kitchen is a nonprofit collaborating with others striving for food system change to create a restaurant model that demonstrates that good food is a universal right, one that it can be grown, prepared, and delivered justly and equitably. To that end, we’ll source food from farmers using best practices; we’ll treat and pay workers well; we’ll cook from-scratch food that’s delicious, wholesome, and nourishing; and, using an innovative sliding scale, we’ll make that food affordable to everyone.
