We need strategic help as we launch our Back to School campaign in August and September. We will be promoting memberships to our online community, mentorship programs, writing circles and new online courses. We will be targeting kids ages 9-16 and writing professionals who wish to teach and mentor kids. We would like to work with a skilled volunteer to review past marketing campaign results, and assess how to improve our marketing reach in budget-conscious ways. Then, we would like to restructure our free offerings, messaging and channels used to reach customers. Check us out at http://www.younginklings.org/

Every Young Inkling has a story to tell.

Megan White was one of Society of Young Inklings' first students. In second grade, she started taking classes, which led her to draft a novel, and then she moved on to a revision mentorship. Stories poured out of her, and she knew she had something meaningful to say. By middle school, she wrote and published a novel with Society of Young Inklings, and her confidence continued to grow. Now, she's back as an intern, building her marketing and teaching skill sets, preparing for her life-long career as a writer. Megan found SYI because we were in her neighborhood and because her parents had the means to explore enrichment opportunities for her.

We know there are many Megans out there, who aren't actively seeking out a mentorship like what Society of Young Inklings offers. These kids might think their writing isn't good enough, or they might not even know they have stories to share. They might believe that you have to be an adult to be taken seriously as a writer, or they may simply not know the emotional strength and resilience they can develop through putting their stories on the page. By helping us with our launch campaign, you will help us find and support the youth who need us most, be they future authors or creative youth who need a medium and community through which to be seen and heard.

Over the past year, we've taken courses, studied online marketing approaches and experimented with various tools and strategies. We have a strong set of apps to support and implement an online marketing campaign, including ConvertKit, LeadQuizzes, Buffer, etc.

Our team includes two Executive Assistants, one with a specific skill set in social media marketing (including FB ads, graphic design, audio and video editing, etc), and one with the ability to create online funnels, build automations and integrations between apps, and with strong copy-writing skills. Our Executive Director, Naomi Kinsman, is our content creator, and has created various types of written and visual content as part of marketing funnels, and is also comfortable with live video and recorded audio offerings, such as a podcast.
We've blocked out the month of August and most of September for our launch campaign, and plan to direct a significant portion of our team's attention toward implementing this project.
