## The Opportunity
S & S Foundation is seeking support to address an approximately **$1 million funding gap for Moonlit Place**, our affordable housing development in Tallahassee, Florida.
Our challenge is not identifying the need for the project, but determining **which funding prospects are most likely to support it, who should be approached first, and how much we should request**. We need a focused fundraising strategy that helps us prioritize our limited time and pursue the strongest opportunities.
We have researched and applied for grants, explored corporate and foundation support, and pursued several public and private funding sources. However, the funding landscape is broad, and we need an experienced fundraising professional to help us identify the most promising major donors, corporations, foundations, banks, philanthropic organizations, and other potential supporters.
The project is currently at an important stage, and we are working toward an October 31, 2026 fundraising goal. Because that timeline is ambitious, we need a strategy that can be put into action immediately while also creating a pipeline we can continue cultivating after the deadline.
The main obstacle is having enough fundraising expertise and capacity to quickly evaluate prospects, prioritize opportunities, determine appropriate ask amounts, and organize the outreach pipeline in a disciplined way.
We are seeking a consultant who can help us move from broad fundraising research to a clear, prioritized, actionable fundraising roadmap.
## The Project Deliverable
By the end of the project, we want S & S Foundation to have a **rapid fundraising strategy and prioritized prospect pipeline** that our leadership can immediately put into action for Moonlit Place.
The pro bono consultant will create:
- A prioritized list of qualified major donors, corporations, foundations, banks, philanthropic organizations, family foundations, and other potential funding partners
- Identification of the strongest prospects to approach first
- Recommended ask amounts or funding ranges for priority prospects
- Identification of relevant decision-makers, relationship pathways, or potential warm-introduction opportunities where available
- Recommendations for the best funding approach for each priority prospect, such as major gifts, corporate support, foundation funding, naming opportunities, challenge gifts, or matching gifts
- A simple prospect-tracking template showing prospect name, contact or decision-maker, potential ask amount, priority, status, next action, and follow-up date
- Suggested weekly fundraising priorities and outreach targets
- Recommendations for prospects that should remain in the pipeline for continued cultivation beyond October 31
Success would mean we finish the project knowing **who to approach first, how much to ask for, why each prospect is a strong fit, and what action our leadership should take next**.
The final deliverables should be practical, organized, and ready for immediate use—not simply a general list of fundraising ideas.
