About the Opportunity

Project Stillpoint is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit with limited financial activity and an entirely volunteer-run structure. We need help establishing an organized accounting and compliance system as the organization develops. This includes organizing financial records, understanding and tracking federal and state filing requirements, and creating a clear annual compliance calendar. We are currently registered for charitable solicitation in several states, and managing differing filing and renewal requirements without dedicated accounting support has become increasingly difficult. We would like to establish a reliable system now that can grow with the organization and prevent filings or renewals from being missed.

Organize financial records and files, establish a comprehensive filing calendar, identify federal and state compliance obligations, and create a sustainable system to ensure required filings and renewals are completed on time. Provide hands-on assistance completing our two current California filings: the Statement of Information and charitable registration renewal.

Organization Mission

Project Stillpoint is a nonprofit art and research initiative creating a permanent site for large-scale sculpture installations and a gathering place for artists, scientists, and critical thinkers. Through installations, residencies, conversations, experimentation, and public programs, Stillpoint brings together art, nature, perception, and inquiry to explore ideas and experiences that shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us.
