About the Opportunity

We want to implement QuickBooks Online using a four-part structure: (1) an overview of basic bookkeeping concepts (transactions, journals, ledgers, reports, Chart of Accounts), (2) setting up our business in QuickBooks Online (Chart of Accounts, vendors, customers, products/services/items, sales tax), (3) record-keeping workflows in QuickBooks Online (paying bills, invoicing, receiving payments, working with bank accounts, automating transactions), and (4) generating reports (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Statement of Cash Flows, Budgets). Our current priority is completing the setup (Part II and supporting record-keeping in Part III) before focusing on reports. Our finance committee meets for the first time on Monday, October 12, and we aim to have the setup completed by December 1.

We are looking for a volunteer with QuickBooks Online and bookkeeping expertise to set up our QuickBooks environment and train our team. The volunteer will:
- Configure our QuickBooks Online account by creating and organizing the Chart of Accounts and setting up vendors, customers, products/services/items, and sales tax settings in the file.
- Connect and configure bank accounts and automation, and establish workflows for common bookkeeping activities including paying bills, invoicing, receiving payments, and applying bank rules to automate routine transactions.
- Provide remote training on core bookkeeping processes and on how to record transactions and generate standard reports in QuickBooks Online (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Statement of Cash Flows, Budgets) so our finance committee and staff can use the system going forward.
