We want to ensure 7more is taking full advantage of free, discounted, and donated technology, advertising, software, and professional resources available to nonprofit organizations. As we have grown, many systems were selected or added to meet immediate needs. We currently use tools such as Canva for Nonprofits, our website, email, online forms, cloud storage, communication systems, accounting and payroll tools, social media platforms, and other operational services. We have not had the capacity to perform a more detailed, research review of what we are paying for, whether current plans are appropriate, where services overlap, or whether nonprofit discounts and better alternatives are available.
We are looking for a volunteer with nonprofit technology and software procurement experience to conduct a systems and cost-savings audit for 7more. The volunteer will:
- Review the software, subscriptions, platforms, services, and recurring technology expenses currently used by 7more and produce an itemized inventory.
- Identify unnecessary expenses, overlapping services, underused features, and outdated plans, and flag low-value subscriptions for reduction or cancellation.
- Determine whether each existing provider offers nonprofit pricing, donated access, account credits, or a more appropriate plan and document eligibility steps.
- Research free or discounted resources available through programs such as TechSoup, Google for Nonprofits, Google Ad Grants, Microsoft for Nonprofits, Canva for Nonprofits, and other reputable nonprofit-benefit programs.
- Evaluate tools that could improve our grant development, fundraising and donor communication, volunteer management and mentorship, email and social media workflows, HR and payroll, document management, cybersecurity, electronic signatures, and reporting; recommend consolidation or replacement options where appropriate.
- Deliver a practical nonprofit technology and savings plan that prioritizes recommended changes, outlines implementation steps and responsible owners, and notes expected cost-saving opportunities or trade-offs where available.
