Global Empowerment Network, Inc. (GEN) is a growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to expand access to education, legal support, economic empowerment, and community resources for women, youth, immigrants, refugees, and underserved communities. As GEN grows, we need a sustainable fundraising strategy that goes beyond grant funding and helps us build relationships with individual donors, businesses, corporate partners, sponsors, and other potential supporters.
We are seeking an experienced fundraising professional who can help us identify realistic fundraising opportunities, define priority donor audiences, develop approaches for donor outreach and engagement, and create a practical strategy that GEN can implement with limited resources. We would especially value guidance on building long-term donor relationships, developing compelling fundraising messages, and creating a sustainable donor pipeline.

By the end of the project, we would like to have: (1) a practical fundraising and donor development strategy tailored to GEN’s current capacity; (2) clearly defined priority donor and supporter audiences, including individuals, businesses, corporate partners, and potential sponsors; (3) recommendations for donor outreach, engagement, cultivation, and retention; (4) sample fundraising messages or outreach templates that GEN can adapt for different audiences; and (5) a realistic action plan for building and maintaining a donor pipeline.
Success would mean that GEN has a clear and sustainable fundraising roadmap, practical tools for approaching potential supporters, and greater internal capacity to develop long-term funding relationships beyond grants.
