Grant Readiness Assessment for Global Empowerment Network (GEN)

Global Empowerment Network, Inc. (GEN) is a growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to expand access to education, empowerment opportunities, legal resources, and community support for women, immigrants, refugees, low-income families, and underserved communities. As a growing organization with limited financial resources, GEN wants to strengthen its readiness to pursue grant funding. We are seeking an experienced volunteer to assess our current grant readiness, identify gaps or areas that need improvement, and help us understand the most important steps we should take before pursuing grants more actively. We would also value initial guidance on the types of funding opportunities that may best align with GEN’s mission and programs.

By the end of this project, we would like to receive a practical grant readiness assessment for GEN that identifies our strengths, gaps, and priority areas for improvement. The volunteer will review our current organizational readiness and provide clear recommendations on what GEN should strengthen or prepare before pursuing grant opportunities, including relevant organizational information, program documentation, impact information, financial or governance materials, and other common grant-readiness needs. We would also appreciate initial guidance on where GEN should focus its future funding efforts. Success would mean that GEN has a clear, prioritized roadmap of the steps needed to become better prepared for future grant applications.
