We are a survivor-led, volunteer-run nonprofit using a Microsoft-based CRM and are evaluating a proposed integration between Salesforce and Microsoft Dataverse. We need an independent assessment of feasibility, licensing implications, and implementation requirements across our Azure and Microsoft 365 environment and our Salesforce instance to determine whether and how the systems can exchange sensitive client and organizational data securely and reliably.
We are looking for a volunteer with Salesforce and Microsoft Dataverse integration experience, including familiarity with Azure and Microsoft 365, to develop a practical integration roadmap. The volunteer will:
- Review our existing Azure, Dataverse, Microsoft 365, and Salesforce environment, available documentation, and proposed integration goals and deliver a concise summary of current configuration and any gaps.
- Clarify the business needs the integration should support, specifying which user roles need access to each platform and which data elements must be shared, and produce a prioritized list of use cases.
- Assess feasibility and identify licensing requirements, technical dependencies, limitations, and open questions, delivered as a licensing and dependency summary.
- Identify key integration points and deliver a preliminary data-mapping outline listing the data entities and fields recommended for synchronization or exchange.
- Evaluate potential data-flow approaches (one-way vs. bidirectional), update frequency, record-matching strategies, duplicate prevention, and error-handling approaches, and recommend the preferred approach for our context.
- Recommend data ownership, access controls, and safeguards appropriate for sensitive client and organizational information.
- Develop a phased implementation roadmap that outlines recommended approaches, prerequisites, priorities, testing needs, and ongoing maintenance responsibilities.
Final deliverables: an integration assessment, preliminary data-mapping outline, licensing and dependency summary, and a phased implementation roadmap. This engagement is scoped to assessment and planning over the specified six-week, remote timeframe.
