About the Opportunity

We are a registered 501(c)(3) delivering free fitness programs in affordable housing in Davis and Fremont, CA and are planning to expand to additional sites. We have no outside funding yet and do not know which foundations fund early-stage organizations like ours, what grant sizes are realistic, or which application deadlines we should prioritize. Our own searches have returned funders that are either too large or not available in our region, and we lack a reliable way to judge which opportunities are worth pursuing. That ongoing guesswork is delaying our ability to begin targeted grant outreach.

The volunteer will deliver a prioritized list of approximately 20 grant prospects in a reusable spreadsheet tracker. The volunteer will:
- Populate a spreadsheet with one row per prospect including these columns: funder name and focus area; typical grant size; eligibility requirements; application deadline and whether the deadline is rolling; direct link to funder guidelines; and a brief note explaining why the funder fits our mission/scale/region and an assessment of our likely competitiveness.
- Provide a short written summary (1–2 pages) identifying the three applications we should pursue first and the reasons for that prioritization.

We are looking for a volunteer with Grant Writing and grant-prospect-research expertise to complete this work. Pranav will be our main point of contact and can commit time to write and submit applications once prospects are identified.
