Transition Pro Bono ED to Paid W-2 (in CA)

Our small California 501(c)(3) (under $200k budget) supports education and community-led programming in Mali, West Africa. We are preparing to transition our Executive Director from pro bono to a paid W-2 position.

We are seeking a nonprofit finance and/or human resources expert to help us navigate three specific tasks to ensure this transition is fully compliant: structuring the salary package, setting up an Individual Coverage HRA (ICHRA) for health benefits, and drafting the needed board documentation.

Organization Mission

Founded in 2010, Mali Kalanso is a model education project. Our mission is to provide education to rural children in Mali, especially girls, to create pathways out of poverty. We do this through holistic, community-based programs.
