About the Opportunity

Our team is already using AI in day-to-day work, and we need shared guidance for using these tools responsibly. As an organization that works with vulnerable communities, our approach needs to account for appropriate use, data privacy, and human oversight. We haven't yet developed formal guidelines or a shared approach for how and when AI tools should be used. Clear guidance will help our staff make thoughtful decisions and use these tools in ways that align with our mission and our responsibilities to the communities we serve.

The volunteer will deliver:

- a simple, staff-facing AI use policy defining acceptable use, data privacy considerations, and human oversight expectations
- use-case-specific guidance for two to three workflows where our team is already using or considering AI tools
- a short orientation resource, such as a one-pager, FAQ, or slide deck, that introduces staff to our AI guidelines

Final deliverable: A staff-facing AI use policy, workflow-specific guidance, and an orientation resource our team can use to roll out these guidelines.
