About the Opportunity

We are preparing for our end-of-year fundraising campaign and could use additional marketing and graphic design support to help us create a cohesive, compelling campaign across both digital and print channels.

Specifically, we are looking for help developing social media content and graphics, as well as designing the campaign letter that will be mailed to donors. We have the fundraising strategy and messaging direction internally, but limited marketing and graphic design capacity makes it challenging to bring the campaign to life in a polished and engaging way.

In the past, our team has managed much of this internally or worked within our existing resources, but we would love to strengthen this year's campaign with dedicated creative support.

By the end of the project, we would like to have a cohesive and compelling creative package for our end-of-year fundraising campaign.

The pro bono consultant would help us develop the overall visual look and feel of the campaign and create key materials, including social media graphics and templates, the design/layout of our mailed donor appeal, and other digital assets that can be used throughout the campaign.

Success would mean having a polished, consistent campaign that tells our story effectively, engages donors across print and digital channels, and gives our team reusable materials we can easily adapt throughout the end-of-year campaign.

Organization Mission

Friends of the Children—New York’s mission is to impact generational change by empowering youth who are facing the greatest obstacles through relationships with professional mentors – 12+ years, no matter what. We enroll children ages 4 to 6 who are living with the intersecting pressures of poverty and serious adversity due to social inequities and support them all the way through their high school graduation, helping each to build their resilience and thrive. Each youth (called an “Achiever”) is paired with a paid professional mentor (called a “Friend”) who is highly trained in advanced mentorship skills and best practices.
