Grandmothers’ Village Project is seeking to strengthen our digital communications and build greater visibility and engagement around our mission, projects, advocacy, and community work. As a volunteer-led nonprofit, we need a clear, sustainable approach to communications and marketing that can be implemented consistently without requiring significant staff capacity. We are seeking a pro bono digital communications and marketing professional to help us develop a repeatable content planning process and compelling messaging that reflects our identity as an Indigenous-led organization serving marginalized elders and intergenerational communities.
We are looking for someone who can help us identify and reach key audiences while also providing hands-on communications support across our social media, website, newsletter, fundraising campaigns, community and partner outreach, and other digital communications.
The consultant would help us:
- Develop a reusable three-month communications calendar and framework with clear themes and a consistent posting schedule across GMVP’s primary social media channels.
- Develop messaging guidance for communicating GMVP’s mission, projects, advocacy, fundraising, and community work to different audiences.
- Create approximately 6 sample social media posts demonstrating how GMVP’s content can be adapted appropriately for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- Create 2 reusable fundraising or organizational announcement formats that GMVP can adapt for future campaigns and announcements.
- Provide practical guidance for increasing visibility, engagement, and connection with our communities, potential funders, donors, professional and institutional partners, and others working in housing, community development, sustainability, and philanthropy.
- Establish a simple, repeatable social media communications process that future communications volunteers or team members can follow.
The final deliverables will include a reusable three-month communications calendar and framework, messaging guidance, sample social media content, reusable fundraising and announcement formats, and a simple communications process that GMVP can continue using after the project ends.
This project is focused on developing a sustainable communications strategy and toolkit rather than ongoing scheduling, publishing, or management of GMVP’s social media channels.
