We need support preparing competitive institutional grant applications that can sustain our programs, operations, staffing, and organizational growth. A separate volunteer will handle prospect research and funder prioritization; this short-term remote project must convert two preselected funding opportunities into submission-ready materials over a defined five-week engagement (approximately five hours per week). We require experienced grant-writing help to shape our existing program descriptions, budgets, and outcomes to each funder’s requirements so we can submit strong applications on schedule.
We are looking for a volunteer with Grant Writing expertise to prepare two submission-ready institutional grant applications and create reusable grant materials for Mommy’s Heart, Inc.
The volunteer will:
- Review the requirements, evaluation criteria, deadlines, and funding priorities for the two preselected funders and produce a concise summary of each application’s submission requirements.
- Review our mission, programs, organizational history, populations served, current activities, funding needs, and anticipated outcomes and identify the content to incorporate into each proposal.
- Draft two customized, submission-ready grant applications, proposals, or letters of inquiry that respond directly to each funder’s requirements.
- Adapt our program narratives, statement of need, organizational background, goals, activities, outcomes, and sustainability plan to align with each opportunity.
- Collaborate with our leadership to develop a proposal budget and budget narrative for each application.
- Develop measurable program objectives and anticipated outcomes for inclusion in each proposal.
- Incorporate feedback from our leadership and complete one revision cycle for each application.
- Create reusable proposal templates and a short guide our team can use to adapt them for future opportunities.
- Organize commonly requested supporting documents into a clearly labeled grant-materials folder ready for submission.
