About the Opportunity

We are preparing to change our status from a non-operating foundation to an operating foundation. Founded in 2021, we have financial statements and tax filings available for review and we need an expert evaluation of our funding sources, filing history, revenue generation, and spending to ensure that our financial profile aligns with the standards for an operating foundation.

We are looking for a volunteer with CPA or financial analysis expertise to review our documents and provide concise, actionable advice. The volunteer will:
- Review our financial statements and provide a written assessment identifying material findings, inconsistencies, or items of concern relevant to an operating foundation assessment.
- Review our tax filings from the past five years and summarize any items or patterns in those filings that could affect a status change.
- Analyze our funding sources, grant agreements, revenue-generation, and spending patterns and provide a brief written opinion on alignment with operating foundation criteria, citing examples from the reviewed documents.
- Provide a prioritized list of recommended corrective actions, documentation to assemble, or financial/policy adjustments we should make before applying to change status.
