Founded in 2020 by mothers with lived experience in poverty and related injustices, Equitable Spaces (ES) is a community operated and led organization. Our mission is to create opportunities for community members most impacted by poverty to incorporate their knowledge, perspectives, and expertise into the design of the policies, programs, and advocacy efforts that directly impact their lives. Centering humanity as the baseline, ES works closely with community members with lived experience and multi-sector partners to identify gaps of understanding, strategize, and implement co-developed action plans.
ES is currently working on the development of a 5-year, inaugural impact report, a publication that can be used to communicate with stakeholders and donors about our work. As a small, start-up, community-led organization, ES does not have the resources required to hire a graphic designer. ES is seeking to engage a Taproot pro bono consultant to lead the graphic design component of the report. ES envisions working closely with the consultant to create a polished impact report in digital and print ready formats. The design of the impact report should reflect the values and guiding principles of the organization.
By the end of this project we’d like a high-quality impact report, ready to share with funders and other stakeholders. The consultant will:
- Design a report layout that reflects our brand and clearly organizes our content and data
- Incorporate the copy, data, stories, quotes, and images we provide
- Deliver the report in both an editable working file, a share-ready digital format and a print-ready file
- Engage in a few rounds (via email and virtual meetings) of feedback as the design comes together
- We’d like the consultant selected and onboarded by early November.
