About the Opportunity

Africa NeuroCare and Neuro Research Initiative (ANNI) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to advance equitable neurological health outcomes across Africa through research, education, advocacy, innovation, and strategic partnerships.

As a growing organization, ANNI is seeking pro bono expertise to strengthen our fundraising and grant development capacity. We have developed several neurological health research, neurodata, technology, environmental neurohealth, education, and community-focused initiatives and now need support identifying suitable funding opportunities and positioning these programs competitively for grants.

We are seeking an experienced nonprofit fundraising or grant professional who can assess our grant readiness, help prioritize funding opportunities, strengthen our fundraising strategy, and provide guidance on developing competitive grant proposals for foundations, corporations, government agencies, and global health funders.

By the end of the project, we would like to have a practical grant and fundraising strategy for ANNI, including identification and prioritization of suitable funding opportunities; recommendations for strengthening our grant readiness; review of key organizational and program materials; a grant prospect pipeline/funder list; and guidance on developing strong proposals and reusable grant-writing materials.

Ideally, the volunteer will also help ANNI develop or strengthen at least one priority grant application that can serve as a model for future submissions
