About the Opportunity

Staff who need to purchase or lease vehicles for work need tailored financial guidance on available financing and leasing options and on how to compare those options to make financially conscious choices. Up to five staff will need support. We prefer either two group workshops or brief individual sessions. We want staff to feel empowered about their financing options so their transportation decisions support their work and personal financial wellbeing. This issue is a brand new challenge, and we'd like to equip staff members with expert financial advising support.

The volunteer will either deliver two 60-minute financial advising workshops for staff (or provide equivalent individual 30-minute sessions) and will produce a one-page car-purchase decision checklist that summarizes financing options, decision criteria, and best-practice questions staff can use when evaluating purchases or leasing options. We are looking for a volunteer with Budgeting and Financial Analysis expertise to lead the workshops and produce the checklist for Friends of the Children-SF Bay Area.
