About the Opportunity

FINDtheADHDgirls is a growing nonprofit working to increase early recognition of ADHD in girls. As our reach and ADHD Advocates for Girls program grow, we need to develop a more sustainable financial model to support that growth.

To date, much of the organization’s funding has come from our founder, supplemented by donations and early fundraising outreach. We have begun developing corporate and pharmaceutical partnership outreach and are exploring additional opportunities including individual giving, advocate engagement, grants, sponsorships, and earned revenue.

Our challenge is not a lack of possible fundraising ideas—it is determining which revenue streams offer the greatest potential for our organization and creating a realistic strategy for pursuing them with a small team and limited capacity.

We are seeking an experienced nonprofit fundraising/development or business development professional who can assess our current efforts, help us prioritize the strongest opportunities, and create a practical roadmap toward diversified, sustainable funding.

By the end of this project, we would like a practical fundraising and revenue strategy that our small team can begin implementing immediately.

Deliverables should include:

• Assessment of our current fundraising efforts and opportunities
• Recommended revenue streams and priorities for the next 12 months
• Identification of the strongest opportunities across corporate partnerships, individual giving, grants, sponsorships, advocate/community giving, and potential earned revenue
• Recommendations for converting our growing community of ADHD Advocates for Girls into engaged supporters without making fundraising the focus of the advocacy program
• A realistic fundraising roadmap with recommended activities, timing, and priorities
• Suggested goals or metrics we can use to measure progress
• Recommendations for the basic fundraising infrastructure we should build as the organization grows

Success would mean leaving the project with a focused, achievable plan rather than a long list of fundraising possibilities—something our small team can realistically execute and build upon.

Organization Mission

More than 30 years ago, professionals began acknowledging that girls have ADHD too. Yet girls are still being missed. Many women know this personally—diagnosed in their 20s, 40s, 60s, or still waiting. We can't go back and give ourselves the support we deserved, but we can change the story for the next generation. At FINDtheADHDgirls, our goal is clear: help girls be recognized, understood, and supported before age 8.
