About the Opportunity

Elev8 Villages is creating beautiful, relationship-centered communities for young adults aging out of foster care. Places intentionally designed around belonging, dignity, connection, and opportunity.

We are developing a coordinated collection of 3D concept renderings that will allow donors, partners, community leaders, and future residents to visually experience what an Elev8 Village could look and feel like.

For this project, we are seeking a volunteer with experience in 3D visualization, architectural rendering, environmental design, landscape architecture, or a related field to create an exterior scene featuring three individual tiny homes with welcoming front porches.

The porches are particularly important to our vision. Each resident will have the dignity and privacy of a home of their own, while the design of the neighborhood creates natural opportunities for connection. A porch becomes the gentle transition between private home and community, a place to drink coffee, greet someone walking past, sit with a friend, read, laugh, or simply spend time outside.

We want these homes to feel beautiful, permanent, individual, and cared for. The finished rendering should communicate both home and neighborliness.

The volunteer will work directly with Melissa Kaye, Founder and Visionary of Elev8 Villages. We will provide our completed Amphitheatre rendering as a visual reference and quality standard, along with inspiration images, existing concepts, descriptions, and collaborative feedback throughout the project.

This is an opportunity to help us make an emerging vision tangible. Your work will become part of the visual language of Elev8 Villages and help people imagine the dignity of having a front door of your own—and the belonging that can grow when there are neighbors just beyond the porch.

The primary deliverable is two polished, high-quality exterior 3D concept rendering featuring three Elev8 tiny homes with front porches, surrounding landscaping and pathways, and signs of everyday community life.

This is a conceptual visualization rather than an architectural or construction plan. The final rendering will be used on our website and in presentations, sponsorship materials, fundraising efforts, and public communications.

We anticipate completing the project through a collaborative four-week workflow:

Week 1 — Explore & Sketch: Meet with the Founder, review our completed Amphitheatre rendering, explore architectural and porch references, and develop initial sketches and concepts.

Week 2 — Build: Create the base 3D models for the three homes and establish their relationship to one another, including porches, pathways, and surrounding landscape.

Week 3 — Render: Develop exterior materials, architectural details, lighting, landscaping, and the overall visual character.

Week 4 — Bring It to Life: Complete the final rendering by adding vegetation, furnishings, people, personal touches, and everyday activity that makes the homes feel genuinely inhabited.

The completed renderings will also help establish the tiny-home design language for a future rendering of an eight-home housing pod, making this an important foundational piece of the larger Elev8 Villages visualization project.
