About the Opportunity

We are launching Our Broward, Our Voices to bring the experiences of Black and Latino Broward residents into the civic conversation through short, personal stories. The project will identify and interview at least 10 Black and Latino residents and needs those interviews transformed into ten short, powerful videos (up to two minutes each). Each video should tell one person's story and show how their experience connects to community life, government, voting, representation, or civic participation. The project is explicitly nonpartisan and supports our DEI priority of expanding presence in underrepresented communities.

We are looking for a volunteer with Video Production and Videography expertise to produce interview-based short videos for this community storytelling project.

The volunteer will:
- Plan and help conduct or remotely record at least 10 interviews with Black and Latino Broward residents, capturing a single personal story per interview and notes on the story’s civic connection.
- Edit interview footage to produce 10 short videos, approximately 2 minutes each, each centering one person's story and linking it to community life, government, voting, representation, or civic participation.
- Deliver 10 final edited video files (one per story), each approximately 2 minutes long.
- Deliver the transcript and short notes
