About the Opportunity

APILO serves immigrant communities across the Bay Area and our current WordPress site supports 11 languages including Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Spanish, Vietnamese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Lao, Malay, and Thai via GTranslate. We are migrating to Webflow and need a volunteer to replicate and improve this multilingual framework on the new site. We need someone with experience in Webflow's native localization features or compatible third-party tools to configure language switching. APILO will handle translation content separately — this project is about the technical framework only. The Deputy Director is the primary point of contact throughout.

A configured multilingual framework on the APILO Webflow site supporting Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Spanish, Vietnamese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Lao, Malay, and Thai, with a documented process for how staff can add or update language support going forward without ongoing developer help. Success means a community member can select their language and navigate the site in it, and staff have a clear, manageable process for maintenance.

Organization Mission

API Legal Outreach is a community-based social justice organization serving the Asian and Pacific Islander and other underserved communities of the Greater Bay Area. We provide direct legal and social services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, elder abuse, and those facing housing, immigration, and disability challenges. Guided by our mission of advancing justice, protecting rights, and promoting self-determination, we combine compassionate service with community education and advocacy to empower individuals and strengthen our communities.
