About the Opportunity

Curt's Café runs two working cafés (Evanston and Highland Park, IL) that double as paid job-training sites for young adults ages 15-24. We use Salesforce, provisioned through the nonprofit Power of Us program, to manage our workforce-training and case-management data, and currently have 10 free nonprofit licenses in use.

We have never purchased a paid Salesforce license before, and the staff member who originally set up our Salesforce org is no longer with the organization. As a result, no one on our team currently understands how to buy an additional license, provision it, or configure a new user — and we have no dedicated database administrator. One team member on our development staff is the most comfortable navigating Salesforce day-to-day, but is not a technical or admin-level user.

We need 2 additional licenses beyond our current 10 free seats: one right away for a current staff member who needs access now, and one more within the next 1-3 months for a new hire. Beyond simply getting these two licenses live, we want a teammate on our staff to come away able to repeat this process independently the next time we need to add a license — ideally with the volunteer remaining reachable for a quick question when that next license is added.

• A confirmed picture of our current Salesforce edition, org setup, and admin access (part of the initial diagnostic, since this is unclear to us today)
• One additional Salesforce license purchased and fully provisioned for a named staff member, including profile, permission, and data-access setup appropriate to their role
• A simple, written step-by-step guide (SOP) our team can follow to purchase and provision a license on our own next time
• One live training session (recorded, if possible) walking our internal point person through the purchase-to-provisioning process end to end
• Confirmation that our internal point person can reach out to volunteer if they have questions when setting-up the next license.

Our new staff member is working in Salesforce within days of the project starting, and our internal point person feels confident they could purchase and set up the next license themselves — without having to search for outside help — when we hire our next team member in the next 1-3 months
