About the Opportunity

We are seeking a volunteer to develop a clear, actionable tactical plan to expand community outreach and build strategic partnerships for our flagship nonprofit capacity building program, 501Secure. The goal is twofold: raise awareness of our services and establish local, regional, and national partner relationships that can introduce our work to new audiences.

Because execution will be handled internally by our executive team and volunteers over a 6-to-12-month horizon, this project focuses strictly on research, framework design, and task mapping, giving us a ready-to-use playbook to execute at our own pace.

We would appreciate a volunteer who could deliver the following:

-Define target regions (local, regional, national) aligned with our strategic priorities to focus outreach efforts effectively.
-Outline specific collaborative ideas, offers, or value propositions we can present to prospective partners.
-Conduct database research (using Candid and other relevant databases) to compile a vetted preliminary list of prospective local, regional, and national partner organizations.
-Organize the prospect list with relevant background details, alignment criteria, and key entry points.
-Recommend optimal outreach methods (e.g., warm email vs. phone call) tailored to different partner tiers.
-Provide sample wording, tone guidelines, and conversation starters or other methods to guide our team during outreach.
-Translate the strategy into a phased, schedule-ready tactical calendar (designed for low internal staff capacity over a 6-to-12-month rollout).
-Conduct a final walkthrough session with the executive team and volunteers to hand off all deliverables and review the execution plan.

Areas NOT in scope for the volunteer:
-Directly initiating or executing outreach calls, emails, or meetings with prospective partners.
-Creating marketing materials, collateral design, or public relations campaigns.
-Broad organizational strategic planning outside this specific outreach scope.
-Project management during the 6-to-12-month rollout phase.

Our mission relies on reaching the organizations that need us most. This project directly supports that mission by creating a clear, actionable pathway to build strategic partnerships and expand our visibility. By connecting with aligned local, regional, and national partners, we can introduce our services to entirely new audiences. Ultimately, broadening our reach allows us to help more organizations, attract skilled volunteers to sustain our work, and significantly scale our long-term impact.

To give you confidence in this project, we are prepared to take what you create and run with it. We already have a clear organizational strategic plan, well-defined services, and established core messaging. We need a targeted plan for outreach.

We have the team in place, including active volunteers and leadership, ready to pick up the tactical plan build a project calendar and begin executing. We view this as a 6-to-12-month internal project, so your effort will directly power our growth over the coming year.
