About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help Droste Mental Health Services develop a comprehensive, practical, and accessible Clinician Handbook.

The handbook will serve as a central resource for clinicians providing services through Droste. It will bring together key information about Droste’s policies, procedures, clinical and administrative expectations, communication processes, documentation requirements, billing, client management, and other operational resources 1099 clinicians need to work effectively within the organization.

The volunteer will help us organize existing materials, identify gaps or areas that need clarification, develop and refine content, and create a cohesive handbook that is easy for clinicians to use as an ongoing reference.

The final deliverable will be a polished Clinician Handbook that can be used for onboarding new clinicians and as a practical reference for our existing clinical team.

Droste Mental Health Services provides accessible, affordable, and inclusive psychotherapy and trauma informed counseling to New Yorkers in need. Strong clinical and operational infrastructure is essential to delivering that mission consistently.

A comprehensive Clinician Handbook will help create greater clarity and consistency across our clinical team by ensuring clinicians have easy access to the information, policies, procedures, and resources they need to provide services through Droste.

The handbook will also strengthen clinician onboarding, reduce reliance on informal or fragmented information sharing, and help our organization maintain more consistent administrative and operational practices as we grow.

Ultimately, this project will strengthen the infrastructure behind our clinical services, allowing clinicians to spend less time navigating organizational processes and more time focused on providing high quality care to the clients we serve.

Droste has existing policies, procedures, clinician agreements, onboarding materials, billing information, client management guidance, and other organizational resources that can serve as source material for the handbook.

Our leadership team will provide the volunteer with relevant materials, establish the key areas we want the handbook to address, and provide timely feedback and review throughout the project. We will also identify a clear internal point of contact who can answer questions and help the volunteer understand Droste’s current systems and workflows.

The project has internal leadership support, and we intend to use the completed handbook as part of clinician onboarding and ongoing professional reference. The volunteer will be helping us consolidate and improve existing information rather than creating an entirely new system from scratch.

We are looking for someone with strong organizational, writing, and information management skills who can translate complex operational information into a clear and useful resource for clinicians.
