Giving Tuesday Capital Campaign Strategy & Assets

This campaign directly fuels our mission to eliminate food insecurity in Far Rockaway by raising critical funds for capital improvements as we move to a new facility. By expanding our space, we can significantly increase the capacity of our soup kitchen and food pantry services to meet growing local demand. A successful campaign will not only raise immediate funds for our move but also build a broader, more sustainable donor base to ensure our Far Rockaway neighbors always have access to nutritious food and support.

To ensure this project is set up for success, we have completed surveys within the community to better understand their needs and how we can support them through The Mission. Based on the feedback, we learned that the need exceeds what we can accommodate in our current facility. Our team will collaborate with the volunteer, review drafts, give timely feedback, and implement the final campaign materials once approved.

The mission of the United Methodist Center of Far Rockaway is to recognize the value of every person by providing exemplary physical, emotional, and spiritual care for each family that graces its door, regardless of race, creed, or color. With a balanced commitment to caring for the poor and those most in need, we provide a soup kitchen and food pantry for individuals and families in the Far Rockaway area.
