GoGreenLocally is seeking a skilled pro bono consultant to help review, refine, and strengthen our new Applied Sustainability Leadership Program before its first public launch.

The program combines short online sustainability education with hands-on community engagement, allowing participants to apply what they learn by volunteering with local organizations or completing independent sustainability projects. Participants build practical experience, create a professional sustainability portfolio, and develop leadership through real-world environmental action.

We're looking for someone who can help us transform a solid program into an outstanding participant experience by reviewing the overall design, participant journey, and program materials.

What You'll Help With:

The consultant will work with our team to review and improve areas such as:

-Overall participant experience and program flow
-Learning objectives and leadership outcomes
-Weekly structure and participant milestones
-Accountability partner model
-Community project requirements
-Reflection activities and portfolio development
-Final project options and recognition process
-Program guides and participant resources
-Opportunities to improve engagement, motivation, and long-term impact
-Recommendations for future growth and scalability
-Desired Background

We're hoping to work with someone who has experience in one or more of the following:

Leadership development
Adult learning or curriculum design
Experiential education
Community engagement
Volunteer program management
Sustainability education
Nonprofit program development
Higher education or service-learning
Program evaluation
Desired Deliverables

By the end of the project, we'd like to have:

-A review of the current program design
-Written recommendations for improvement
-Suggestions for strengthening participant engagement
-Feedback on learning outcomes and leadership competencies
-Recommendations for making the program scalable and sustainable
-Optional edits to participant materials where appropriate
Working on this project helps us create a professional experience pathway for students and young professionals to participate in a well-designed structure for a shorter period of time, with support that helps them to stretch, get out of their comfort zone, and make new connections in their community.
Our team has already developed the core structure and content for the Applied Sustainability Leadership Program. We have created the program framework, participant journey, online sustainability mini-courses, weekly expectations, accountability partner model, reflection process, portfolio concept, recognition materials, and supporting resources.

We have also identified the program's goals, learning outcomes, and community engagement model. Rather than asking a consultant to build a new program, we're seeking an experienced professional to review what has been developed, identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen the participant experience, and help ensure the program is engaging, effective, and scalable before its public launch.

We have a dedicated volunteer team that is committed to implementing recommendations where appropriate and bringing the program to launch.

Because much of the foundational work has already been completed, the consultant's time can be focused on strategic improvements rather than creating materials from scratch.
