We're looking for a volunteer to document and organize how we run our classes and certification programs — turning complex "in-someone's-head and documented in several places" knowledge into a clear process people can follow. This is a part-time, defined-scope project: roughly 3–5 hours/week for 1–2 months.

What you'd help us create:

- Step-by-step SOPs for running a class from proposal through close-out
- A Wild Apricot classes setup guide — a clear, repeatable process for creating new class registration pages
- A Wet Ink setup guide — clear written instructions for setting up a course
- Clear role descriptions — mapping what role does what, by when, and a simple recommendation for how the work could be shared across a small team of part-time volunteers and/or staff going forward
- A short set of policy recommendations — things like minimum class sizes and refund rules, flagged for our board to decide

Bonus, only if it's your thing: thoughts on whether our current tools (Wild Apricot, Wet Ink) are the right long-term fit. Not required — just valuable if you happen to have that background.

We're open to one volunteer who can do this solo, or a small team splitting it up.
Our classes and certification programs are the core of what we do — how we serve our community and fulfill our mission. Right now they're running, but held together by various people and their memories vs. a centrally documented process. Fixing that frees up staff and board time for growth, not firefighting, and means the program survives the next person leaving. This also allows volunteers to contribute in more meaningful and fulfilling ways.
We have existing background documentation on our current process that we'll share with our volunteer, along with direct access to the person who's been running this (weekly or twice weekly check-ins) and a small standing team for asynchronous questions and review. We'll use Basecamp for project planning and tracking as well as messaging to make it easier to communicate.
