About the Opportunity

Help us make the most out of our CRM, Salesforce! We’re looking for a volunteer to assess our current CRM system and identify ways we can use it to meet our needs more effectively, including potential integrations with other tools we’re using. Once the volunteer implements the recommended changes, we’d like a brief training session and/or documented guidelines to follow so that we can maintain the CRM going forward.

Behind every student we tutor, every camper who builds a robot, and every donor who gives — there's data that needs to be tracked, connected, and acted on. Right now, Noggin is building out a CRM/database system to manage program enrollment, volunteer coordination, and donor relationships, but our main build is being handled by one dedicated volunteer, and we need backup and support capacity to keep it moving and make sure it's built to last.

A skilled Salesforce volunteer helping with CRM configuration and database support means our small team can spend less time manually tracking spreadsheets and more time actually serving students and families. It also means we can scale — as our programs grow (like Robotics Camp expanding each year, or new tutoring cohorts), a solid Salesforce foundation lets us manage that growth without things falling through the cracks: a family who registers, a volunteer who signs up, a donor who gives — all of them tracked and followed up with consistently, not lost in an inbox.

In short: your technical skills build the invisible infrastructure that lets our mission-facing work actually run smoothly — so students, families, volunteers, and donors all get the responsive, organized experience they deserve.

Existing foundation to build on: We already have a main CRM build in progress led by another volunteer, so this isn't a from-scratch project — the volunteer will be adding backup/support capacity to an existing structure, with context and prior work already in place.

Internal buy-in secured: Our Executive Director is directly involved in and has approved this project.
Clear point of contact: Our Chief of Staff will coordinate scheduling and communication, and can connect the volunteer directly with Danny for technical continuity on the existing build.
Realistic scope: We've scoped this for a 2-5 hour/week, limited-weeks engagement — focused on specific configuration or support tasks rather than an open-ended full system build.

Built to last: Whatever the volunteer configures or documents becomes part of our ongoing CRM system, actively used by our team to track program enrollment, volunteer coordination, and donor relationships long after the engagement ends — not a one-off technical exercise.
