We'd like to create a comprehensive grant development toolkit that will position The ImpactKits Project to pursue funding opportunities more effectively as we grow.

The ImpactKits Project is a fiscally sponsored, community-based nonprofit initiative serving Orange County by bringing people together to collect essential supplies, assemble care kits, and support individuals and families facing hardship. As a growing organization, we are looking to build the foundation for a sustainable grant funding strategy.

We are seeking a volunteer with experience in grant research and nonprofit fundraising to complete a defined project that will strengthen our grant readiness. Rather than providing ongoing grant writing support, the volunteer will help us develop resources our leadership team can use to pursue grants well into the future.

The project deliverables include:
- A Grant Prospect Research Report identifying 10–15 grant opportunities that align with our mission, service area, programs, and fiscal sponsorship.
- A summary of each funding opportunity, including eligibility requirements, estimated award amounts, deadlines, and recommendations for pursuing each grant.
- A reusable Grant Narrative Toolkit containing core organizational information, including our mission, organizational overview, program descriptions, community need statement, impact, and fiscal sponsorship language.
- A grant tracking spreadsheet and application calendar to help our leadership team organize future submissions.
- Recommendations for a six- to twelve-month grant strategy, including priority funding opportunities and suggested application timelines.

If time permits, we would also appreciate feedback on one priority grant opportunity or guidance on preparing our first application using the materials developed during the project.
This project will provide the foundation needed to pursue sustainable funding that supports our mission of making compassion actionable throughout Orange County.

By creating a structured grant prospecting and grant development toolkit, the volunteer will equip our organization with practical resources that strengthen our fundraising capacity long after the project is complete. Successful grant funding will help us purchase essential supplies, expand volunteer opportunities, establish additional community partnerships, and assemble more care kits for individuals and families facing hardship.

The volunteer's expertise will leave our organization with a lasting resource that enables our leadership team to confidently pursue future funding opportunities and increase our impact within the communities we serve.
Our team has prepared for this project by developing our organizational documentation, program descriptions, operational plans, community partnership information, and impact metrics. We have established our mission, identified our funding priorities, and documented our current and planned programs.

The ImpactKits Project is fiscally sponsored by The Hack Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. Through this fiscal sponsorship, we are eligible to pursue many grant opportunities and receive tax-deductible charitable contributions.

Our leadership team will provide the volunteer with organizational documents, program information, budgets, impact data, and any additional materials needed to complete the project. We will be available throughout the engagement to answer questions, review drafts, and provide timely feedback so the volunteer can successfully complete the project.

The completed toolkit will become our organization's primary resource for identifying and pursuing grant funding as we continue to expand our community impact.
