About the Opportunity

AfCoFo (africa community + forum) is seeking an experienced fundraising strategist to help us develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy for our nonprofit. The consultant will help identify and prioritize the most appropriate funding streams, including foundation grants, corporate partnerships, individual giving, recurring donors, and fundraising campaigns.

As part of this project, we would also like guidance in developing an annual grants calendar and a prioritized list of grant opportunities that align with our mission and programs. The final strategy should provide a practical roadmap to strengthen AfCoFo’s long-term fundraising capacity and support sustainable organizational growth.

This work will help AfCoFo secure resources to expand workforce development, entrepreneurship, education, and economic mobility programs for African immigrants in NYC. Volunteers will help turn mission into funded pathways to jobs, training, and community support.

AfCoFo will collaborate closely with the volunteer, share program and fundraising materials, and make staff available for regular check-ins and review so outcomes can be implemented effectively.
