My goal for this Taproot Project is to develop a comprehensive grant readiness and research partnership strategy that will position our organization for long-term success. We recently completed a strategic planning engagement with Georgetown University and are now moving into the next phase of organizational development. I am seeking an experienced grant strategist or nonprofit development professional to help identify the strongest funding pathways, evaluate our organizational readiness, prioritize grant opportunities, strengthen our grant positioning, and develop a practical roadmap for pursuing foundation, government, and research funding. I would also value guidance on building university partnerships, developing a sustainable grant pipeline, and creating organizational materials that will improve our competitiveness for future funding opportunities. This project is not focused on writing a single grant. It is focused on building the long-term funding strategy, organizational capacity, and strategic partnerships needed to support a nationally scalable research initiative.
Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will help build the funding strategy necessary to advance research, partnerships, and innovation that improve human performance, operational readiness, and decision-making under stress. Establishing a strong grant readiness framework will enable us to responsibly pursue research funding, expand collaborations with universities and public safety organizations, and accelerate our mission of creating safer, more resilient communities through evidence-based innovation.
Our organization has completed its IRS 501(c)(3) determination, established its governance structure, and developed a clear long-term strategic roadmap. We have completed a consulting engagement with Georgetown University, are currently working with a senior technical architect to validate our technology architecture, and have begun building relationships with fire service leaders, public safety professionals, and potential university partners. I have organized our strategic planning materials, organizational documents, and supporting resources and will provide timely access to information, remain actively engaged throughout the project, and implement the volunteer's recommendations to strengthen our long-term funding strategy.
